Nail Components
The nail is made up of several parts that are briefly like this
Nail plate: A part of the fingernail that is mainly known as the main part of the nail
Nail Free Edge: The portion of the nail plate that grows forward from the tip of the finger
Nail bed: Soft tissue beneath the nail
Cuticle: The skin that covers the base of the nail slightly
Matrix: The nail is the secretive part of the nail that lies beneath the cuticle at the base of the nail, which actually plays a root role for the nail. Nail production and growth is done here. This area has the nerve and blood supply to nourish and produce new nails
Solvent: A part of the matrix that appears as a white semi-solvent at the base of the nail. This part of the finger is sixty sharper than the other fingers
Skin folds: The skin around the nail that protects and maintains the nail. It has two types. The skin folds on the sides of the nails and the skin folds on the nails at the base of the nail cover the matrix.
Production and growth of nails
Nails are made in the matrix section. There the old cells are replaced by the younger cells and driven out. These cells lose their inner contents, gradually pushing against each other, forming a hard plate that is the nail plate. In other words, nails are made up of layers and layers of compressed cells. The natural nail plate is transparent and the facial appearance seen on the nails is due to the blood vessels in the nail bed.
The matrix can produce healthy and beautiful nails if the nutrients needed to be delivered to the matrix are properly maintained.
Keratin is a molecule that mainly resides in these dense cells. For this reason, scientific studies say that the nail is made of creatine. Creatine is a type of protein and consists of layers of interconnected molecules that themselves have branches to each other (cross-linking). The amount and type of these joints, as well as the percentage of different elements in the creatine as well as the nail layers, vary among individuals with regard to genetics, disease, and environmental factors. Proper connections and balance of the elements that determine the strength of the nail Raspina with maintaining these joints and create the desired balance will increase the strength and durability of the nails
Nail growth
The nail grows an average of 3 mm per month. But this growth is not the same for different people and at different times. Even its growth is different in different fingers. The smallest finger and the pointed finger have the highest growth rate. The growth of the nail in the hand is more than the foot, in the dominant hand (the right hand in the right hand) over the opposite side. It also grows more in summer than in winter. Nail growth is higher in men than in women. Decreased blood supply, some diseases, hormonal imbalance, and aging also reduce nail growth. In addition, creatine strengthens the nail structure and prevents its fragility. In other words, the nails become completely natural. No layers are added, but we will have nails of the same thickness, but with more growth and strength
Healthy Nail View
Since the nail is made of creatine protein, which is a transparent material, and because of the capillaries in the blood, it is the color of healthy pink nails. For this reason, nails that are infected with diseases such as fungi or diabetes may become dark and discolored.
